Kolyo (Nikolay) Iliev Karamfilov is a Bulgarian artist who has worked in the fields of painting, sculpture, photography, drawing and graphics. He was born on December 7, 1963 in Plovdiv. He graduated in scenography in Plovdiv in 1982. At a very young age he was accepted as a member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists and won several awards. From 1983 until his death in 2014 he has more than 30 solo exhibitions and numerous group shows in Bulgaria and abroad.
