Kyril Buhowski is a visual artist and author with a diverse creative practice, interested in the themes of narrative construction, identity, systems of power, and the interpretation of the past. After graduating from the National School of Fine Arts and the National Academy of Arts in Sofia, he moved to London, where he studied dramaturgy at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. He spent five years in the United Kingdom, directing plays in fringe theatres in London and working as an assistant to a contemporary artist. In 2023, he returned to Bulgaria, participated in school4artists 3 at the Institute of Contemporary Art – Sofia, and became an active participant in the visual arts scene.
