As 2025 draws to a close, “New Lines” focuses on drawing as a point of departure – a place where ideas first appear, gestures are tested, and images begin to form. The exhibition brings together, for the first time at Little Bird Place, four artists with distinct visual languages: Martina Vacheva, Svetlana Mircheva, Kyril Buhowski, and Martian Tabakov.

Developed through a series of studio visits and conversations, the project traces connections and tensions between their practices. Here, drawing appears not only as a finished work, but as a laboratory – a space for observation, revision, and experiment, where forms and motifs surface before moving into other media.

With this range of approaches, “New Lines” furthers Little Bird Place’s commitment to bringing together established voices and a new generation of artists on the Bulgarian contemporary art scene.
